About Us
My name is Joseph “Lorenzo” Richard and I’m co-owner of “Kingz and Queenz Soul Kitchen. I’d like to take this time out to tell y’all a bit about myself. Well, I’m from a little town in Southwest Louisiana called “Church Point”, where we live to gather with friends and family and cook and have a good time. I was raised with both my parents and two siblings. My dad being the sole provider and my mom being a house wife. So, with that being said, I guess we know who was doing the cooking. It was normal for my mom to cook two or three meals in a day plus bake sweets, not because she had to, but loved to. So I’ve been around cooking my whole life. As I grew older and moved out, I realized how much I missed great food!!
It started off as a hobby, then grew into a passion. Next thing I knew, I had done became my mother lol! Every time I was just hanging with friends or family they always wanted me to cook, in which I didn’t mind. I enjoyed watching their reactions to the taste of my food. I’ve always wanted to be my own boss. And since everyone seemed to love my food and it’s something I love, I went out on my journey to open my restaurant. What a long and rough journey it was!! It was a financial battle and a lack of support but I never detoured. So since me and my lil sis shared the same passion, we figured, two heads was better than one. So, here we are. Finally, our dream turned into a vision, and now it’s a reality. It’s not much about the money for me, I just want to share some great food with the people of the world. We made it!!!
